Unger and Ponicsan Join Executive Protection Systems (EPS)

Paul UngerWinchester, VA (December 12, 2006)—Executive Protection Systems (EPS), a leading turnkey provider of emergency preparedness solutions, equipment and training, has announced the addition of two new staff members to its Business Communications and Training Divisions.

Paul Unger recently joined EPS as its Senior Project Manager of its Business Communications and Continuity Division. Having retired from the US Navy, Paul has over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications and electronics fields, Paul spent six years at the White House Communications Agency in support of the President, Vice President, First Lady, US Secret Service and White House Staff. Paul’s responsibilities included designing, installing and maintaining various communications systems used by the Office of the President and other elements of the federal government. More recently, Paul spent 18 months managing more than 20 personnel on board the USS Austin. Paul’s division was responsible for all telecommunications and electronics systems on board.

Paul is certified as a Firetide Wireless Mesh Expert, also in Structured Cabling design and installation, Access Control systems, Fiber Optic installation and termination, and various audio/visual distribution systems.

Mark PonicsonMark J. Ponicsan, joins EPS as a Senior Program Coordinator of its Training Division. He also hails from the US Navy, bringing with him over 24 years experience of training and emergency preparedness planning. In his previous position with the Naval Security Group Headquarters in Ft. Meade, Maryland, Mark was responsible for the overall training and development of over 900 personnel.

Mark also spent three years at the White House where he supervised the human resource and administrative operations for Presidential Contingency Programs, in support of national-level military and federal agencies supporting the development, implementation and maintenance of Presidential and Vice Presidential emergency plans.
